Improve Your Build and Check Evolution
Improve the weapon you already use with affordable verified upgrades, and pursue Evolution only when its current requirements fit your plan.

What to do
- Open the weapon you use for reliable clears and inspect its available skill-tree nodes, accessory options, Trait, and Evolution screen; write down the live costs and effects before investing.
- Spend available Tokens on a node only after reading its current rank text, and compare one change at a time in the same Story route; reported full-rank bonuses and whether values replace earlier ranks are not all independently confirmed.
- If considering an accessory, read its full Crafting preview, including named materials and required amounts; do not infer a recipe from cropped material icons or an owned/required numerator.
- If Evolution is affordable for your chosen weapon, select it and scroll through the entire live requirements list; record every item and currency total, then check the list again before pressing Evolve.
- Treat reported recipes as candidates for planning only: for example, a Hu Tao / Flame Director report lists materials, Coins, and Gems, while the Cataclysm Soul Fragment total differs between reports; settle those counts from your current panel. After an Evolution, check the newly available Ultimate prompt; G is the reported PC control, while touch controls should follow their on-screen prompt.
- Keep your reliable ordinary loadout if Evolution is still out of reach; ordinary Sukuna gameplay has been shown in a Raid example, so Evolution is not established as a Raid prerequisite. Hu Tao's Evolution can only be considered after you obtain that unit.
Ready to move on?
- You have made at most the upgrades you can afford and verified their current effects in the menu or by comparing your own runs.
- You have either checked every live Evolution requirement for your chosen owned weapon or explicitly deferred Evolution while keeping a workable loadout.
If you get stuck
- Evolution reports show different totals, or a walkthrough only shows what the player still lacks.
- Use the complete current in-game list as the decision point, scroll all entries, and record required totals separately from inventory counts.
- A reported skill-tree or Trait bonus does not match your tooltip.
- Follow your current tooltip, make one affordable change at a time, and avoid adding rank values together unless the interface explicitly says they stack.
- You do not own Hu Tao / Flame Director yet.
- Do not budget for its Evolution as an available action; continue with the weapon you own and treat the raid route as a separate goal.
What to spend and save
- Prioritize one affordable upgrade for your reliable weapon and reserve Evolution materials only after confirming the full live recipe.
- Defer full Trait reroll campaigns, speculative accessory crafts, and Evolution costs you cannot yet meet; stop rerolling when your preset resource limit is reached.

An Oct 7 guide presents this Flame Director / Hu Tao Evolution candidate, rather than only the two raid drops:

The guide places Ghosts and Staff of Homa in the Nightmare bathhouse raid, and Magic Pendants in Act 1. TrickyRBLX's Oct 6 narration says the player owns 2 Staffs and still needs 8; that is consistent with 10 total, not an eight-Staff recipe. RBX Peanut's Oct 7 narration also mentions the currency costs and these raid materials. Material names and the complete list still need your live Evolution panel: these are dated reports, not our in-game test. Check every requirement before spending resources. An Oct 7 Evolution guide lists a Cataclysm candidate of 60 Fine Cloths, 30 Mana Feathers, 10 Waves Cores, 12 Soul Fragments, 4 Magic Pendants, and 3,000 Gems. The earlier player report below describes a Soul Fragment counter reaching 15/15, so 12 versus 15 remains unresolved. A player being short four fragments does not mean the entire recipe costs four. Item Level's awakening screenshot shows an already-awakened Cataclysm and a 60 requirement for the cloth-shaped material, but a tooltip obscures other counts; it cannot establish the full recipe. Roonby's guide reports three Shadow Monarch Evolution stages: unlock Ultimate, summon Igris, then obtain a Longsword and expand attack range. The full material list, totals, currency costs, and unlock requirements were not located independently. An Item Level guide dated Oct 6 calls Hu Tao Paramita Pyre, describes it as a Lyth rarity unit, and reports the same name for a title. It says the title requires the corresponding weapon and defeating the Raid Boss without using an Ultimate. The article reports title bonuses of +15% damage, +20% health, +3.5 speed, +5% cooldown reduction, and +5% drop rate, plus a 22,400 Coin and 450 Gem clear payout. These are guide reports, not independently tested. The article does not establish whether the condition applies to the full raid or only the boss phase, or whether the payout includes bonuses. The relationship between Paramita Pyre and Flame Director still needs an in-game check; confirm the current reward panel and title tooltip before planning a run. Item Level

Awakening Cataclysm and Cursed King
#Cataclysm awakening
A player reported being short 4 Soul Fragments before awakening Cataclysm, then later evolving it and using its Ultimate with G. Four was that player's remaining amount, not the full recipe. They tried Nightmare, but the run was difficult; no best farming stage is confirmed. Check the live Evolution menu for every requirement and use a difficulty you can clear reliably. A larger awakening effect does not establish a damage multiplier. Gameplay video

Cursed King quest clue
A player reported receiving a pendant after completing all Daily quests, then awakening Sukuna. One quest involved three runs with a specified scythe character in Slot 1. The character name and Slot 1 requirement are not confirmed; check the current quest text. Gameplay video
Evolution and Ultimate Skills
#The lobby has an EVOLUTIONS entry, and an ability guide links evolution with unlocking the Ultimate. Gameplay creators have shown awakening steps for Cataclysm and Cursed King, but there is no complete, reliable recipe for every weapon.
Before evolving, read the current requirements and cost in-game. Required materials, levels, Coins, whether the original item is consumed, and whether levels or Traits carry over are not confirmed for all weapons. Do not assume every weapon can evolve. Ability guide
